Amplified Smiles uses a generative AI model trained on clinical smile design principles — not a simple filter or overlay. The model applies 18 professional design rules covering tooth proportion, facial harmony, gum line balance, and colour matching to produce a photorealistic simulation of what the treatment could look like on that specific patient's face.

The simulations are designed to be clinically plausible, not a guaranteed outcome. They show a realistic representation of what the treatment could achieve based on the patient's facial anatomy and the selected procedure. We recommend presenting them as a visual consultation aid, not a clinical promise. Actual results will vary based on the patient's anatomy, the clinician's technique, and the specific products used.

Yes. The AI model is designed to respect the patient's natural colouring, skin tone, and facial structure. It does not apply a generic 'Hollywood smile' — it adapts the simulation to look natural and proportionate for each individual patient.

Most simulations complete in 15–45 seconds. During peak periods it may take up to 90 seconds. The results page updates automatically when the simulation is ready.

A well-lit, front-facing photo with the patient's mouth slightly open or in a relaxed smile produces the best results. Avoid heavy shadows, extreme angles, or photos where the teeth are not visible. The upload page includes a short guide with example photos.

All-on-4 implant simulations are available exclusively on the Pro plan ($147/mo). The Essential plan ($97/mo) includes Teeth Whitening, Veneers, and Clear Aligner Straightening. You can upgrade at any time from your Dashboard.

Yes. We are actively developing simulations for composite bonding, gum contouring, and crown restorations. Pro subscribers will receive access to new treatments as they are released at no additional cost.

Yes. Each simulation uses one credit from your monthly allowance, so you can run as many different treatment options as you like for the same patient — each counts as a separate simulation. Many practices show patients two or three options side by side during the consultation.

Yes, absolutely. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. You can cancel from your Dashboard at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which no further charges are made.

Your Gallery and all completed simulations remain accessible for 30 days after cancellation. Any active share links you have sent to patients will continue to work until their 7-day expiry. After 30 days, your data is archived.

Credits reset on the same date each month as your original subscription start date. For example, if you subscribed on the 10th, your credits reset on the 10th of each month. Your exact reset date is shown on your Dashboard.

You have two options: purchase a one-time top-up of 10 extra simulations for $15 (available instantly from your Dashboard), or upgrade to the Pro plan for a higher monthly allowance. Essential subscribers get 100 sims/mo; Pro subscribers get 150 sims/mo.

Yes. You can upgrade from Essential to Pro at any time — the change takes effect immediately and you are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing cycle. Downgrading from Pro to Essential takes effect at the next renewal date.

No. Credits reset to your full monthly allowance at the start of each billing cycle. Unused credits from the previous month do not carry over. This keeps the pricing model simple and predictable.

Yes. All photos are uploaded directly to encrypted cloud storage (AWS S3) over HTTPS. Photos are stored under randomised, non-guessable file paths and are never publicly indexed. Access is controlled at the account level — only the subscribing practice can view their own patient photos.

No. Patient photos uploaded to Amplified Smiles are never used for AI training, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose other than generating the requested simulation for that practice.

Yes. As the treating clinician, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from patients before capturing and uploading their photos. Amplified Smiles includes a consent acknowledgement step in the upload flow as a reminder, but the legal responsibility for consent rests with the practice.

Photos are retained for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel, photos are archived for 30 days and then permanently deleted. You can also delete individual sessions from your Gallery at any time.

Share links use a 32-character cryptographically random token and expire after 7 days. They are not indexed by search engines. You can revoke any active link at any time from your Gallery. The patient share page does not require a login and does not display any identifying information about the practice beyond the practice name you have set.

After subscribing, click 'New Simulation' in the navigation bar. Upload a front-facing photo of the patient, select the treatment you want to simulate, and click 'Generate Simulation'. Results are typically ready within 30 seconds.

On the results page, click the 'Share with Patient' button. This generates a 7-day link you can copy and send via text or email. The patient opens the link on any device — no app or login required — and sees the before/after comparison.

Currently each subscription is tied to a single login. Multi-seat practice accounts are on our roadmap. In the meantime, many practices use a shared practice email address for the account.

We do not currently offer a free trial, but you can cancel within the first billing period if the platform does not meet your needs and you will not be charged for the following month. We are confident in the results — most practices see a measurable improvement in case acceptance within the first week.
